59 Degrees!!!!

We may still have a foot of snow in the yard, but today it is 59 degrees.  I sat outside in the fresh and warm air.  What a treat after this long winter.  Snow or not, I was determined to hang out the wash.  Nothing beats line dried clothes.
Hubby washed the salt and dirt off of the cars.  Little M.  even had Flip and Lilly out to play.  Once the treats were gone they ran back to the barnyard.
Hello my beautiful babies!
We are trying to soak up as much sun as we can.  It is forecasted to snow again tomorrow night and back to freezing temperatures.

Friday Night at the Wrestling Match

Well, everyone is feeling better.  Some things are back to normal……..like wrestling with Daddy.
You are never too old to wrestle with Daddy.

Sickness……….ughh

Oh my, what a week it has been.  We have all been sick.  It started last week with Hubby.  Halfway thru church last week, my headache started and by the time the afternoon was over, I had the full blown cough and runny nose.  One by one the kiddos succumbed.  Hubby and the kiddos had a fever and aches with their sickness.  I thankfully did not have those symptoms.  We should have stock in the Puffs company by now.  I also love my container of Vicks Vapor rub.  I became best friends with my recliner and Hubby's imprint is in our bed.

I am so thankful that we are feeling better.  The week was also spent shoveling EVERY day!  Since my boy and I felt the best, we were the designated shovelers.  My neighbors probably laughed as they went by.  Everyday I shoveled in a different pair of flannel pajamas.  During the day I usually wear dresses and I was not shoveling in a dress.

Yesterday Little M.  finally felt well enough to watch a movie on our laptop.  The little stinker stole my recliner! It was nice to see her smile. We watched Charlotte's Web and Nancy Drew.  Two of my favorite movies.  My dream farm is on Charlotte's Web.

Come on Spring!

Sportsman Show

Hubby took the 2 youngest on a field trip to the PA Sportsman Show last week.  They know I have a fear of reptiles, so they always make sure to get at least 1 picture of them for me.
The alligator's name is Chunk.  Does this mean he took a chunk out of someone's arm?

Ice Day

After the 1st round of snow, we had a snow/sleet/freezing rain/ice storm.  The snow now has a hard icy crust.  Perfect for sledding.  The 2 youngest took the opportunity to sled.  The teenager said she is "too big to play in the snow". (sigh).  Why must children grow up so fast?

Anyway,  here are more pictures of our winter wonderland and sledding.
Poor Flip wants out to sled too!!!
This is Flip making the most pitiful cry because he wants to sleigh ride!
Here they come!  Where are your hats children?

It was so icy, the sleds didn't even make tracks.
I love to see the children having fun.  Especially if they are out enjoying God's beautiful world.

Beautiful Winter Day

Well, it's snowing, AGAIN.  It sure is beautiful though.  We are supposed to get 5-8 inches today.  I think we have about 5" so far.  As long as hubby gets home safe, it can snow as much as it wants.
I have been listening to a song that brings me to tears.  It is Love Song by Third Day.  The kiddos wouldn't get up this morning, so I turned up my music and sang at the top of my lungs.  Eventually all 3 of them stumbled down the stairs.  It works every time! (smile!)

I am going to make the most of this snowy day.  Homeschool first, then shoveling, then roasting a chicken for dinner, and hopefully time to craft.
